What is the Parish Pastoral Plan?

The Pastoral Plan is a tool to assist the Pastor in the effective shepherding of the Parish. The Plan establishes high-level programs along with concrete steps to effectively achieve the goals and objectives.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) 2176 defines the parish as:

“A…definite community of the Christian faithful established on a stable basis within a particular church; the pastoral care of the parish is entrusted to a pastor as its own shepherd under the authority of the diocesan bishop.”

The pastor, in collaboration with the pastoral council, financial council and every parishioner, and this pastoral plan, seeks to highlight the importance of being a Catholic person and member of the Church by virtue of the Sacrament of Baptism.

Baptism into Christ and His Church does not only entail responsibilities and duties but “also enjoys rights within the Church: to receive the sacraments, to be nourished with the Word of God and to be sustained by the other spiritual helps of the Church” CCC 1269.

With the core Catholic values of St. Anne and St. Jude Catholic Church, every parishioner has the duties and responsibilities to respond to the call of Jesus Christ to be in communion with Him by pursuing the vision as one community of believers. As Jesus’ priestly prayer reminds us:

“Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I consecrate myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth. I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.” cf. John 17:17-21

Prayer in Honor of St. Anne & St. Jude

O God, our Heavenly Father,
We praise and worship You and we acknowledge
Your loving presence in our Parish Community.
You have given St. Anne and St. Jude to us to imitate
their faithfulness and zeal to love You and to serve
our brothers and sisters in need.
We come before You, O loving God, to bless all our
efforts and commitment in fulfilling our Pastoral Plans, that
everything we do may be in accordance with your Holy Will and for
the building of your reign in our Parish Community, for
the salvation of souls and Your greater glory.
Through the prayers of our beloved patrons, St. Anne and St. Jude,
may we gain wisdom and strength that we are Your stewards and servants,
always ready to share our gifts and talents with Your people and Your Church.
Grant this prayer, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

St. Anne, pray for us!
St. Jude, pray for us!

Our Future

Union with God – “that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us”
