Creating a Catholic presence in correctional facilities is a noble endeavor and a response to Jesus’ teachings on the corporal works of mercy particularly the visit those in prison (Matthew 25: 36). The parish seeks to establish a Catholic presence and promote the Gospel message in Lee Correctional Institution in Bishopville, SC, and Turbeville Correctional Institution in Turbeville, SC, through activities such as:

KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY
Bible Study in English and Spanish
Masses once a month
We always respect the rules and regulations of the correctional facilities and maintain the safety and security of all involved. Building a Catholic presence in these institutions can be transformative for inmates seeking spiritual growth and redemption.
